LOVE IN FULL SPECTRUM

For Cheryl and Zixuan, light is more than something beautiful—it is part of the world they share. As two PhDs in optics, their connection to the science of light became the inspiration for a wedding designed around the colors of the spectrum.

Set above the Pacific at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, the celebration translated that story into layers of lavender, blue, blush, coral, ivory, and green. Rather than interpreting the spectrum literally, the palette was softened into an ethereal progression of color, woven through the florals, stationery, fashion, and tablescape.

For the oceanfront ceremony, crystal chandeliers were suspended beneath the open sky—an unexpected juxtaposition of refined glamour and coastal beauty. As sunlight moved through the crystals, the installation became a subtle reflection of the couple’s own story with light.

Indoors, abundant garden florals carried the spectrum into the reception, surrounding guests with color while candlelight and crystal details brought warmth and luminosity to the room.

A celebration where science became inspiration, light became color, and color became a love story.
