A LOVE LETTER TO THE SEA

Heather and Henry's wedding at Andaz Maui at Wailea was inspired by their love of the ocean. Rather than creating a traditional beach-themed celebration, we wanted to bring the sea into the design in a softer, more unexpected way—through delicate textures, sculptural details, and a romantic garden palette.

One of our favorite details was the guest wishes display. Guests wrote their messages on seashell-shaped cards and hung them on a real fishing net, creating a beautiful collection of memories for the couple. An oversized seashell became the card box, while shell-shaped menus, pearlescent table numbers, and delicate pearl accents carried the ocean-inspired details throughout the reception.

The floral design brought a beautiful balance of softness and depth, with garden roses, dahlias, and seasonal blooms in shades of blush, peach, ivory, and rich rose. Natural wood chairs, flowing fabrics, and candlelight added warmth, creating a romantic and refined coastal atmosphere.

As the sun set over Maui, the celebration took on a beautiful golden glow. Every detail felt connected to the setting, yet deeply personal to Heather and Henry—a wedding inspired by the sea, without ever taking away from the natural beauty surrounding it.
