A PASTEL REVERIE IN HAWAII

Sophia and Ning’s wedding at Mauna Lani began with the romance of a French garden, reimagined for the tropical landscape of Hawaii. Soft blush, lavender, baby blue, pastel yellow, and fresh green created a dreamy palette that felt delicate and romantic while still belonging naturally beneath the palms and open island sky.

Abundant garden florals brought the palette to life throughout the celebration, layering soft color with tropical greenery and organic movement. French-inspired details, elegant tablescapes, playful stationery, and touches of gold added refinement without taking away from the relaxed beauty of the setting.

Rather than designing a traditionally tropical wedding, we allowed Hawaii to become the backdrop to a completely different kind of garden romance. The contrast between pastel florals and the saturated blues and greens of the island gave the celebration its own distinct visual language—soft and whimsical against the dramatic Pacific landscape.

As sunset faded into evening, candlelight, warm lighting, and the glowing LOVE installation transformed the garden into a more playful celebration. Romantic, colorful, and full of personality, the day felt like a French garden dream transported to the islands.
